Description Ray Van Dolson 2009-05-01 21:56:10 UTC
I'm testing evolution-mapi out with Fedora 11 rawhide.

evolution-mapi-0.26.1-1

When I attempt to set up my account, I get the following error:

Authentication failed.
MapiLogonProvider:MAPI_E_NETWORK_ERROR

In the console window, I see:

e-data-server-ui-Message: Unable to find password(s) in keyring (Keyring reports: No matching results)
e-data-server-ui-Message: Key file does not have group 'Passwords-ExchangeMAPI'
Create profile with ray5147 AVWORLD server.domain.com
libexchangemapi-Message: exchange-mapi-connection.c:2874: exchange_mapi_create_profile: lock(connect_lock)
Logging into the server... MapiLogonProvider : MAPI_E_NETWORK_ERROR (0x80040115)
(evolution:4407): libexchangemapi-DEBUG: Deleting profile ray5147@AVWORLD
libexchangemapi-Message: exchange-mapi-connection.c:2966: exchange_mapi_create_profile: unlock(connect_lock)

(evolution:4407): e-data-server-ui-WARNING **: Unable to find password(s) in keyring (Keyring reports: No matching results)

I've tried many combinations on my username and domain:

- sAMAccountName
- email address with domain
- email address username only

To no avail. Wireshark shows traffic going to my Exchange server. My password is correct (it works fine with IMAP) but does have non alphanumeric characters in it.

I don't know a lot about the current Exchange environment, but could get additional information if needed. My mailbox lives on one particular mail server, which is the one I'm attempting to connect to.

I'm seeing the same problem using Ubuntu's Jaunty distro.

Our Exchange server requires TLS authentication and I didn't see anyway to configure TLS. I can't help but wonder if this is part of the problem.

I think this is probably the same bug as Bug #579185.
