GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 580366
desktop icons are displayed on the wrong screen when using Twinview and the main screen is on the right
Last modified: 2014-12-12 08:53:43 UTC
Please describe the problem: I have a nvidia video card and I've setup Twinview so that the secondary monitor is on the left and the main monitor is on the right. The menu and panels are correctly displayed on the main screen (right). However, the desktop icons are displayed on the secondary screen (left) instead of the main screen. Steps to reproduce: 1. setup dual monitor where the main screen is on the right and the secondary screen is on the left. 2. see attached xorg.conf for X configuration 3. login to gnome Actual results: menu and panels are correctly displayed on the main screen. desktop icons are incorrectly displayed on the secondary screen. Expected results: menu, panels, and desktop icons are displayed on the main screen. Does this happen every time? yes. Other information: OS: Fedora 10

This problem still happens in: - Fedora 12 (x86_64) - nautilus-2.28.4-2.fc12.x86_64 - gnome-common-2.28.0-1.fc12.noarch
Duplicate of Bug 420624 ?
I also have the same problem with nautilus 2.32.0 (gnome 2.32 - Ubuntu 10.10)
This bug is still present in Gnome 3. No idea why it's still listed as unconfirmed other than most people probably don't have the access necessary to change it. This is most definitely a confirmed bug effecting multiple users, simple Google search will confirm that.

This is definetly not resolved. Still happening here at Fedora 21.
