GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 579164
the properties chart makes the dialog not suitable for small screens
Last modified: 2011-06-06 21:42:11 UTC
The bug has been opened on https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/331202 "The properties window for USB drives and possibly other removable media in Nautilus is too large to fit on a small screen. The window appears to resist resizing because the pie chart that displays disk usage cannot be shrunk. The dialog looks to be approximately 530 pixels tall including the window title bar, while the smaller netbook screens are only 480 pixels tall (minus any screen real estate used by task bars)."

this bug is due to the permissions tab in the folder properties
if the owner is root then there is no problem but if the owner is user himself then there are many options in permissions tab which make it unfittable on small screens and plz fix this in 2.30
i think the most simple solution to this will be adding a scroller in permission tabs that should appear in small screens
Actually, I think it is the usage chart on the first tab. I experience the same issue with a properties dialog on a drive that does display the pie chart but does not display anything in the permissions tab except "The permissions of (drive name) could not be determined".
