Description Baris Cicek 2009-04-16 08:19:42 UTC
On resume from suspend (most probably also from hibernate) nautilus probe the removable media and handle media as if it's just inserted.

As an example, when there is a cdrom inside cdrom drive, on every resume from suspend, nautilus pops the cdrom content, and if cdrom has autorun information, nautilus-autorun application runs and prompts user for asking what to do.

That's pretty annoying since it almost make either make auto-handling of media feature of nautilus intrusive or having a cdrom inside the drive all the time impossible.

Nautilus should instead be "smart" and understand that media is not inserted by user action, but instead left plugged/inserted before suspend/hibernate.

GNOME is going to shut down bugzilla.gnome.org in favor of gitlab.gnome.org.
As part of that, we are mass-closing older open tickets in bugzilla.gnome.org
which have not seen updates for a longer time (resources are unfortunately
quite limited so not every ticket can get handled).

If you can still reproduce the situation described in this ticket in a recent
and supported software version of Files (nautilus), then please follow
  https://wiki.gnome.org/GettingInTouch/BugReportingGuidelines
and create a new ticket at
  https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/nautilus/-/issues/

Thank you for your understanding and your help.
