Description Nathan handler 2009-04-04 14:18:08 UTC
This bug was reported on Launchpad: https://bugs.edge.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-user-docs/+bug/285173

Here is the content of that that bug report:

In the help under "Taking Screenshots", which is under "Introduction to the Desktop" it says:

Alt+Print Screen
Takes a screenshot of the window to which the mouse points.

This isn't true (unless you're using focus follows mouse). Rather, it takes a screenshot of the window that has input focus.

The attached patch should fix this bug.

Patch looks good to me. Look forward to it being committed.
Comment 3 Paul Cutler 2009-06-14 22:24:12 UTC
Thank you for the patch. I agree that "mouse points" isn't a good way to phrase that.

At the GNOME documentation sprint in discussing this bug, we are going with "active window" rather than "input focus" as we thought it was more user friendly.
Comment 4 Paul Cutler 2009-06-14 22:27:29 UTC
Update going with: "which is active" after discussion with Milo, Phil Bull and Shaun McCance
