GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 577126
Minor typo in User Guide
Last modified: 2009-06-14 22:50:05 UTC
Documentation Section: Taking Screenshots #: C/gostools.xml:209(para) msgid "Takes a screenshot and adds a shadow bevel effect arround it." and then #: C/gostools.xml:219(para) msgid "Takes a screenshot and adds a border effect arround it." Correct version: #: C/gostools.xml:209(para) msgid "Takes a screenshot and adds a shadow bevel effect around it." and then #: C/gostools.xml:219(para) msgid "Takes a screenshot and adds a border effect around it." Other information: Is it a word if it's not in Merriam-Webster? Still gives 1.6 million results in Google though :)
Created attachment 132100 [details] [review] Fixes bug 577126 and 577168 This patch fixes this bug with the "around" typo, and also fixes Bug 577168. I also added support for the GNOME Docs Project Pulse and put it in "review" state. Please review and commit as I do not have commit access.
This patch also fixes Bug 572142
Thanks for the patch, Paul. The update to gnome2-user-guide/C/gostools.xml looks fine, and should be applied. I'm not sure about the update to gnome2-user-guide/C/gosbasic.xml. The preferred term in the Style Guide is "drag", not "click-and-drag". Maybe we should just remove the spurious "Click and drag" and leave the left-column text as "Drag". (N.B. I noticed an unrelated grammar mistake in this section: "The left mouse buttons is usually used") The update to gnome2-user-guide/C/gosstartsession.xml looks good.
You're right about click and drag - I will change this back to drag and submit a new patch tonight.
Created attachment 132672 [details] [review] Fix 1st patch - "drag" The first patch attached to this bug report should be applied, and then this patch to fix "Click-and-drag" and the typo per Phil's comments. I apologize, I'm still learning SVN, and when I applied the patch, it didn't patch the other files.
