GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 575915
When importing two CDs where no metadata can be found, the second import overwrites the first
Last modified: 2009-05-23 01:22:15 UTC
I tried importing two CDs in a row for which neither had metadata available. Banshee does not let add custom metadata before importing, so all imports are to "Unknown Artist/Unknown Album" with names "Track 1", "Track 2", etc, and keep these filepaths even after I change the metadata in my library. When a second CD is imported the first way, it is assigned the same filepath, and doesn't notice that there already exist files with that name on the disk. So, I try playing Track 1 from the first CD, and the song that plays is from the second CD. The first CDs songs no longer exist on hard disk.
