I'm afraid we are already in hard code freeze, so we should probably wait for 2.26.1 with this, or get approval from r-t.

We hadn't yet entered hard code freeze when you posted your comment...

Anyway, I think this is important enough to warrant a freeze break. If you could  send the request mail, that'd be great. Otherwise I'll probably get around to it tomorrow.
