Currently, a user needs to go to the preference menu to enable/disable word wrap feature for the application.

Allowing a user to quickly (and temporarily) enable/disable word wrap would be very convenient for seeing long lines.  Note that this feature would not affect gedit's currently configured word wrap settings.
