GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 573499
seahorse should not advertise 'all key files' in import if it cant open .p12 and .pem keys
Last modified: 2012-02-29 21:00:11 UTC
p12 is quite a common format, and my keys are in it. all key files is grossly inaccurate and generally (except when the number is huge like gimp and all the oteher options are there) there should never only be this option on a file selector. (End original report) My suggestion is to change the phrase "all key files" to "all supported files" and to display the 3 most often used extensions as selection choice. Stef do we support this along with PKCS #11?
We will, but time ran out for 2.26. I'm sorry. The infrastructure for importing all those kinds of files PKCS12, PEM, etc... is there. Seahorse will need one or more changes to its import infrastructure in order to support this, and the UI and feature freezes hit before I could finish working on the code.
Is this bug still present? Is it fixed? If not, why hasn't it been fixed? (aka bump)
Nope not present. We can read and import all those formats now as long as there's a place to store them.
