Description Lau 2009-02-26 21:08:34 UTC
Please describe the problem:
Jean Cartier provided nice set of network icons that may be included in Dia.
Please see http://www.jcartier.net/spip.php?article39

We had a discussion on the dia mailing list
http://mail.gnome.org/archives/dia-list/2008-July/msg00015.html

It seems that we have some work to do. I am creating this bug in order to track the follow-up of this shapes.

According to Thomas Harding in the dia list, it looks like
 * lines and surfaces do not join exatly
 * most of the shapes are not correctly sized (you obtain
a large square for shape limits around a small icon).

Nethertheless, from artistic point of you, it's a great job. So I think
the better to do is to keep in touch with Jean, then do the needed coding
job. Like for a website, one will be the designer and the other the
coder.

Steps to reproduce:

2.
3.

Does this happen every time?

An archive of the shapes to work on is available at http://www.nicolargo.com/blogdata/network4dia.tgz
Comment 2 Hans Breuer 2009-03-06 15:26:47 UTC
definitely not a bug, I'm not even sure if including a third set of network shapes would be an enhancement. But let's see if anyone bother enough to actually put some time into this.

I agree with Hans, I'm already having problems locating the shapes I'm looking for.

If there is a usable set of shapes and the licensing part is clear, it should be no problem to make them available in the Dia Shape repository:
