Bug 97061 has been fixed, but http://l10n.gnome.org/POT/meld.HEAD/meld.HEAD.pot still contains markup.

Looks like we'll have to wait for distros to catch up to 2.26

I've just pushed a couple of patches to HEAD that (as far as I can tell) remove all markup from Meld's translatable messages. Thanks for the bug report.
