Description Christoph Korn 2009-02-05 21:20:32 UTC
Please describe the problem:
http://packages.ubuntu.com/intrepid-backports/brasero

When installing brasero-0.9.1 the language of nautilus changes to english.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Install Ubuntu intrepid or jaunty and see nautilus being partial in english
2. apt-get purge libbrasero-media0
3. Restart nautilus and see it in the correct language.

Actual results:
Nautilus changes the language to english.

Expected results:
Nautilus should not change its language.

Does this happen every time?
Yes, everytime when 0.9.1 is installed.

Other information:
There is already a bug report about it in launchpad:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/intrepid-backports/+bug/325221

I have the same problem. Half of nautilus messages are in Spanish and the other half in English.
Comment 2 Glauco Hass 2009-02-06 02:07:39 UTC
Same here, pt-br as system default language, english in some nautilus strings. Brasero 0.9.1 also installed.
Comment 3 Philippe Rouquier 2009-02-06 08:36:08 UTC
Thanks for the report. This bug has been fixed in trunk. It stems from the fact that libbrasero-media library unset the package name for translation and replaced it with "brasero" =(.
The bug is also in 2.25.90 and the fix will only be in the next version of brasero.
