It would be nice, if the background of the image collection would be black like the image background in fullscreen mode. It looks nicer, and you can concentrate better on the images.

Hi Tobias, I'd prefer to have this defined in a theme, instead of enforcing this to eog users or adding a preferences for that. You can probably tweak this in gtkrc file. Closing as WONTFIX. Thanks for the report anyway!

I don't think it's possible to change the background in the gtkrc in fullscreen only, or can I? This big black-white contrast in fullscreen is every thing else then optimal.
