Description Miguel Romão 2009-01-06 20:27:36 UTC
I have 2 imap accounts (gmail and one from my college), when I go to Edit->Pref.-> Edit accounts (any)-> Imap Headers Tab and pick the "Basic Headers - (Fastest)" option, after clicking in OK, evolution exits without warning. Starting evolution again I find that the option wasn't apllied. I've done this in two computers: Toshiba Sat. and Asus eee 1000h, So I guess that's not a isolated issue...

Distribution: Ubuntu 8.10 (intrepid)
Gnome Release: 2.24.1 2008-10-24 (Ubuntu)
BugBuddy Version: 2.24.1

Thanks for taking the time to report this bug.
Without a stack trace from the crash it's very hard to determine what caused it.
Can you get us a stack trace? Please see http://live.gnome.org/GettingTraces for more information on how to do so. Thanks in advance!

debug packages installed
Comment 3 Miguel Romão 2009-01-08 14:17:54 UTC
I can't fallow the guide.

I've installed the debug packages and the bugbuddy does not pop up as it
should when I reproduce the bug.

I leave you a screenshot of the debug packages i've installed.

regards

Screenshots are not helpful here. :-)
Please see the Details section in http://live.gnome.org/GettingTraces and how to use gdb if bug-buddy does not pop up.

I hope this is what you need, I'm new to this "reporting bugs" stuff...
Comment 7 André Klapper 2009-01-08 16:35:53 UTC
Perfect. :-)
Same trace as bug 560188 which has been marked as duplicate of bug 552583.

Bug 552583 was recently fixed and Evolution 2.24.3 (released next Wednesday) will include a fix for this. Please ask your distribution (Ubuntu) to provide that package once it has been released.
