GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 566703
Symbol browser by default turned off
Last modified: 2009-01-06 19:51:25 UTC
Unbelievable .. you guys put so much effort into make a nice new symbol database infrastructure, and then you disable the symbol browser by default. But .. why?! Turn it on, by default. It's great, every developer uses it! You have no idea how often we make new projects, import, re-import, restart a project. And each time I have to go after each of those really badly chosen defaults and switch them back on. Insanity! :)
Just to make it clear. Symbol-db doesn't seem to be in the default layout. That should be easy to fix.
naba put it default on layout.xml some days ago. http://svn.gnome.org/viewvc/anjuta/trunk/src/layout.xml?r1=4423&r2=4521 there's maybe some misconfiguration into /usr/project/.anjuta/session/dock-layout.xml I won't consider this a bug.
View -> Reset dock layout should fix the thing, close and reopen Anjuta. Please let me know if this works for you.
I think Bug #566801 is a duplicate and the reason why my Symbol browser disappeared yesterday. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 566801 ***
