Description jason 2008-12-23 04:42:56 UTC
Please describe the problem:
I have several srt subtitles which are working perefctly with all programs. If I open any and make even the slightest change, like shift and save, totem wont recognise the subs anymore. Encoding remains the same, utf8. Vlc has no problem, only Totem.

Steps to reproduce:
1.
2.
3.

Actual results:
totem wont load the subs.

Expected results:
load the subs!

Does this happen every time?
yes

Hi, and thanks for the report. This seems like a fixed problem, but just to confirm, can you check if Totem can open the file if you save it with the Western (ISO-8859-15) encoding?
Comment 2 jason 2008-12-30 13:37:03 UTC
It does work when i set the encoding to Western, even Chinese.
The problem still remains though with Unicode UTF-8 (which happens to be the same value in totem to read subtitles).
Comment 3 Pedro Castro 2008-12-30 14:18:48 UTC
Thanks, that confirms it. This is a known problem in Totem, which has been fixed on the meanwhile and should be out in the next release.
