GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 564093
100% cpu usage on failed coverart download
Last modified: 2008-12-11 18:27:03 UTC
When I trigger a media library rescan on Banshee 1.4.1 the library is rescanned and coverart are downloaded if some new albums are present. I happens to me that coverart downloader is not able to download some cover of uncommon album I have on library, and it freezes up during the operation. When this happens, the progressbar of coverart downloader remains still and CPU usage of my dual-core processor goes 100% on both cores. If at that point I manually cancel the coverart downloading process and I look back on system monitor, the CPU usage remains at 100% (banshee continues to play my music, it does not freezes up) until I quit and restart banshee. This is not a stopping bug, but I almost risked to burn my cpu because I left Banshee playing a whole night without knowing of this bug. With best regards. Luca Della Santina
