Description Johannes Schmid 2008-12-01 12:52:47 UTC
For example, when I want to unpack a .rar file, file-roller should ask me whether I want to install "unrar" instead of just failing to open the file.
Comment 1 Nelson Benitez 2008-12-01 23:21:21 UTC
Yes, a similar 'just works' experience like when you're prompted for installing new gstreamer codecs in fedora when trying to play some media.
Comment 2 Michael Monreal 2009-10-20 10:26:51 UTC
Johannes, did you do some work for this already? I just did a fresh installation of Fedora and had to manually install unrar and 7zip during the first day. ARJ and LHA support will be needed at some point later I guess... It would rock if file-roller did the same as totem for gst plugins.
Comment 3 Johannes Schmid 2009-10-20 18:03:19 UTC
No, I don't have time to look into it, though I think it should be quite easy. Let's mark it as gnome-love ;)
