GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 562362
Notification area icons are not accessible from the top most pixel
Last modified: 2009-05-31 13:38:41 UTC
When clicking on the top of the screen directly above the notification area icon for any notification area item the event doesn't appear to reach the item. This contradicts fitts' law, the screen edge is the most accessible part of any panel applet, having to move the mouse down to click on the icon after the mouse has already moved to the top of the screen is a usability flaw. Other information:
On my desktop, this is the case for the whole gnome-panel, i.e. for the Applications, Places and System menus as well as for launchers. Definitely something to fix...
