GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 561695
G1 doesn't know what a .oga file is
Last modified: 2008-12-05 00:57:55 UTC
I tried moving some music over to my Android G1 from RB. It very helpfully converted it from flac to vorbis and stored it on the device in the right location, but it sets the extension to be ".oga". This is technically correct, but unfortunately the G1 doesn't know what to do with those kind of files. Manually renaming them to .ogg makes the device notice them. Until we're able to get android fixed, can we create the files as the more common .ogg instead of .oga?
The extension is specified as part of the audio encoding profile. The .oga profile comes from gnome-media.
Well, .ogg is now the default again. thanks
