Description Martin Meyer 2008-11-17 13:28:28 UTC
Please describe the problem:
I started up my computer this morning to find that my network proxy settings weren't working anymore. I decided to switch off the "automatic proxy configuration" and back to "manual", since sometimes that autoconfig file gets borked inexplicably.

So I'm typing in my proxy server in the box:
And then the ugliness starts. As the developers probably know (and planned), the "http://" part is removed automatically from the box. That was a little confusing at first, but I figured out what was going on quickly enough. The problem is, it put the cursor to the *left* of the w, not to the *right*. So if I had continued typing my full server address, it would have looked like this:

ww-proxy.mycompany.comw

That's not right, is it? Can we get the cursor to point to the *end* of the text box's contents after doing its autoreplace magic?

Steps to reproduce:
1. Open Network Proxy Preferences
2. Select Manual proxy configuration
3. Type "http://w" in the HTTP proxy field

Expected results:

Does this happen every time?
