Thanks for the bug report.  I'm pretty sure this is a duplicate of Bug 533516, which was fixed for 1.8.3 (see especially: Bug 533516, comment 1).  I don't have permission to actually mark this bug as a duplicate, though, so hopefully someone else will do it.
