GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 559568
emblems aren't arranged properly in Emblems tab of directory Properties
Last modified: 2008-11-07 10:14:14 UTC
+++ This bug was initially created as a clone of Bug #339751 +++ That bug has been opened on https://launchpad.net/distros/ubuntu/+source/nautilus/+bug/41217 "I am running nautilus 2.14.1-0ubuntu4 and noticed when I right-clicked on a directory, selected properties, and selected the emblems tab that the emblems are all in single-file. What's odd is that there seems to be enough room for three columns of them. If I resize the properties window then they line up in multiple columns. I think the problem is some long emblem names, like "stockpile-priority-high." Whatever the problem, it makes the emblems tab look unpolished. ... > Thanks for your bug. What locale do you use? Could you make a screenshot of the issue? What do you call "single-file", one column used for them? ... I am using the default locale -- American English. I do mean one column. http://librarian.launchpad.net/2341064/usr_bin.png no problems... don't know why. http://librarian.launchpad.net/2341070/desktop.png has the problem... some folders have the problem, some don't. thought maybe it was permissions based... but they had the same permissions. affects both folders and files. I just checked the emblems available in the two folders -- one that was single-columned, one that was two-columned. There were no differences, unless I missed one. And I didn't notice that the names were any different in length. Sorry to keep commenting and clogging your inbox... but the width of the two windows are different for no reason i can tell. the wider one having the two-column emblem list."
Nicolas: there's absolutely no need to open duplicates of bugs which are already known. This won't buy you anything but more work from the maintainers and bug triagers to close again those reports. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 339751 ***
