Description Peeter P. 2008-11-04 09:47:25 UTC
If a song is playing in the queue list and I choose to play another track in one of the playlists during the play then after Banshee finishes playing that chosen song, it plays another song in that playlist and after that starts again with the queue list. I would expect that it starts with the queue list again right after playing the forced play of the chosen song.

Also I would expect that the song that was queued and stopped by choosing another song during it's play will be removed from the queue list.

How to reproduce:
1. Queue some songs.
2. Start playing a song from the queue list.
3. During it plays stop playing it by choosing to play another song from one of the playlists.
4. Wait till it finishes playing.

What happens:
1. Banshee plays after that another song from that playlist.
2. After it finishes playing it, it starts with the queue list again.
3. Also note that the song that initially was stopped in the queue list by choosing to play another song is still in the queue list.

Expected result:
1. The song I stopped playing in the queue list by choosing to play another song will be removed from the queue list.
2. After playing the chosen song it immediately starts again with the queue list.

Confirmed with trunk.

It seems that after playing the track from the playlist, the play queue is set as the active source (it's in bold), but banshee still plays the next track from the playlist, and not from the play queue.

If I'm not mistaken, this is a duplicate of Bug 553684.

I saw that bug report when searching for if the bug is already reported, but it didn't seem to be the same one at first. Now I see that you have described exactly the same problem in the comment 3.

I marked this bug as a duplicate of it. :-)

Yeah, sorry about the inaccurate description in my bug. There's no way to go back and change the description, right?

Yes, it doesn't seem to be possible.
