Description tvst 2008-10-27 17:51:15 UTC
What were you doing when the application crashed?
I pressed deskbar key and typed "home". Before any results showed, I got a "Bug Buddy" window. In fact if I don't submit the bug, and just press Cancel instead, I get 3 or so other Bug Buddy windows in a row. Then Deskbar gives me the correct results.

I sent this bug through the "Bug Buddy" application, and now I realize it's not as detailed as when I write about it directly on Bugzilla. So let me clarify:

Steps to reproduce:
1) press Alt+F3 to open Deskbar search field
2) type "home" (or anything else, really)
3) the "Bug Buddy" application appears, asking the user to report a crash. But Deskbar is still on the panel and doesn't appear to have crashed. It's just not showing any results.
4) press "Cancel" on "Bug Buddy" window, and another such window opens. This happens some 3 times or so, until...
5) ...press "Cancel" on "Bug Buddy" window and the results appear in Deskbar.

I'm running Intrepid with Compiz, which, according to the automatic report from the first post, appears to be the main cause of this problem. In spite of what it says on the automatic bug report, I don't have any animation set for the "focus" event, though.
