Please describe the problem:
When only instructing file-roller to extract selected files from a CPIO archive no files are extracted. The command to run CPIO from file-roller is correct since copying the command to the command line produces the expected outcome.

I think the text explain all there is to say about this bug. The developer of file-roller needs no more information than I have given here.
