Description impulse 2008-10-24 08:38:00 UTC
Using Opensuse 11 with Evolution 2.22.1.1
This is a feature request:
When Selecting Multiple Contacts, allow editing of common data fields!
i.e If I have 2 or more Contacts, it would be nice to select both and to change a common field such as Company instead of having to change the same field on every single contact. I sometimes have a couple of contacts that work for the same company. It is frustrating to have to change every single Contacts Company to appear the same which makes it more organized. Selecting more than one Contact and changing the Company Field, Telephone Number or whatever in one go would be very productive and a very good feature! Not sure if this has perhaps already been implemented on a later version, but I have updated to the latest version that is available on OpenSUSE's Public Site. I am aware that newer Versions of Evolution are available though!

Distribution: openSUSE 11.0 (X86-64)
Gnome Release: 2.22.1 2008-06-07 (SUSE)
BugBuddy Version: 2.22.0

Also see bug 548610, bug 217097 and bug 557713.
Fixing one would fix them all I guess.

GNOME is going to shut down bugzilla.gnome.org in favor of gitlab.gnome.org.
As part of that, we are mass-closing older open tickets in bugzilla.gnome.org
which have not seen updates for a longer time (resources are unfortunately
quite limited so not every ticket can get handled).

If you can still reproduce the situation described in this ticket in a recent
and supported software version, then please follow
  https://wiki.gnome.org/Community/GettingInTouch/BugReportingGuidelines
and create a new enhancement request ticket at
  https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/evolution/-/issues/

Thank you for your understanding and your help.
