What were you doing when the application crashed?
I was reading my email, I had just selected a new message to read, which was displayed in the preview pane.  The message was an html format email, from weather.com, so it contained external images that evolution was downloading.  Evolution still said it was: Formatting message (...) when it crashed.

This particular bug has already been reported into our bug tracking system, but we are happy to tell you that the problem has already been fixed. It should be solved in the next software version. You may want to check for a software upgrade.
