Description Mike Hurley 2008-09-24 02:43:06 UTC
Please describe the problem:
Formatting is not preserved when gnumeric exports to the ods format.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Create spreadsheet in gnumeric
2. Color some cells and bold some text
3. Save the spreadsheet as ods
4. Import with Open Office Calc

Actual results:
Data looks ok but there is no coloring or font formatting.

Expected results:
Some cells should be colored and font formatting should be as in gnumeric.

Does this happen every time?
Yes.

Why do you think the exporter is called _UNFINISHED_?

Comment 3 Andreas J. Guelzow 2009-05-12 22:01:01 UTC
We are now exporting some character based formatting. FOreground color is not one of them though.
Comment 4 Jon Kåre Hellan 2009-05-13 07:17:31 UTC
As of this morning, we can't read back the cell texts we're writing. OOo 2.4 can't read them either.
Comment 5 Andreas J. Guelzow 2009-05-13 17:30:21 UTC
The problem the problem from comment 4 has been fixed. In fact we weren't writing any text unless it contained some character level formatting.

Sorry for the inconvenience.
Comment 6 Andreas J. Guelzow 2009-05-16 04:34:30 UTC
This problem has been fixed in the development version. The fix will be available in the next major software release. Thank you for your bug report.

Mike, please feel free to report any other features you are missing in the ODF export.
