GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 549801
"Maximize window vertically" keyboard shortcut malfunctions
Last modified: 2008-10-28 13:14:33 UTC
Please describe the problem: I have the "Maximize window vertically" shortcut mapped to Ctrl+Alt+Up. I use this on xfce4-terminal and it seems to work the first time. However, a second terminal usually results in the very last line being cut off at the bottom of the screen. This happens on other windows as well (at least after the error first appears) Also, intentional or not, the window height becomes fixed, which is annoying and doesn't seem very useful. Steps to reproduce: 1. Map Ctrl+Alt+Up to the "Maximize window vertically" shortcut 2. Open windows and use the shortcut a few times Actual results: Resize is correct first time and incorrect on all further attempts Expected results: Resize is always correct Does this happen every time? For me, yes Other information: Screen size: 1280x1024 Up-to-date Ubuntu 8.04 (Aug. 29, 2008) Visual Effects = None
Does this happen on terminal applications other than xfce4-terminal, and for non-terminal applications?
This is a duplicate of bug 468075. It's already solved in 2.24 (= in ubuntu 8.10).
