GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 547646
Evince incorrectly printing multiple copies as one job to Savin C6055.
Last modified: 2009-11-03 08:21:18 UTC
Please describe the problem: When printing multiple copies of a document to a Savin C6055 using the PS driver in CUPS, Evince seems to staple all of the copies together rather than stapling each individual copy. Steps to reproduce: 1. Open PDF in Evince. 2. Print the PDF double-sided, more than one copy. Choose stapling 1 left. 3. Print. Actual results: The multiple copies come out as one document stapled together with one staple. That is 10 copies of a double-sided 4 page document, come out as a single stapled 20 page document, rather than 10 stapled 2-page documents. Expected results: I would expect 10, stapled 2-page documents. Does this happen every time? Yes. Other information: Ubuntu 7.04, i386.
This problem persists in Ubuntu 8.04 with Evince 2.22.2. On a higher level, it seems like Evince treats jobs of multiple copies, being treated as one large job- which results in the stapling behavior.
Does this bug persist in evince 2.26? There seems to be a condition in ev-print-operation which splits the print job into multiple jobs when the "collated" property is set.
I confirm this is still the case on 2.29.1. Marking this issue as 'NEW'.
