Description Boris Zbarsky 2008-08-04 19:31:16 UTC
STEPS TO REPRODUCE:

1) Have a savings account names "Assets:Savings" with interest payments from an
   account named "Income:Interest".
2) Make sure that the interest payment descriptions are "Interest"
3) In the account window, select Actions > Reconcile
4) In the auto interest payment window that comes up, type "Interest" in the
   description field.

EXPECTED RESULTS: "Reconcile Account" is "Assets:Savings"

ACTUAL RESULTS: "Reconcile Account" is "Income:Interest" and the "Payment From" account is "Assets:Savings"

NOTE: The transactions described in steps 1 and 2 were initially created with Gnucash 1.8, if that matters.

I can confirm this behavior in 2.2.4 as well... guess I need to update.

I used the auto interest feature to enter a single interest payment. Then subsequent interest payments will appear with the accounts swapped. They are also entered incorrectly into the register, so it's not just a UI displaying incorrectly.

This also appears in svn 17347. I've updated the version to match
Comment 2 Bob 2012-08-18 11:58:18 UTC
I am unable to reproduce in trunk. I think this can be closed.
