Description henry78 2008-07-18 17:18:20 UTC
Please describe the problem:
a search-folder for an imap-account wasn't working anymore. so i removed it. when i try to add a new one, and select the inbox (in fact: any folder) of the imap account as source folder, it's detected as mbox. and if i create it anyway, it doesn't work (shows no mail: "no messages in this folder").
IMPORTANT: only one account is affected, another imap-account works.

Steps to reproduce:
1. create new search-folder
2. choose failing account as source

Actual results:
see "mbox:<folder-name>" in the "select folder" field

Expected results:
see "imap:<folder-name>"

Does this happen every time?
yes

are you running a local IMAP server, or how is this meant? Otherwise I see no sense.
Comment 2 henry78 2008-07-19 08:38:55 UTC
No, the IMAP Server isn't local.
Comment 3 henry78 2008-08-01 19:28:20 UTC
Still makes no sens to me, I tried everything that came to my mind. But as of today I'm really puzzeld, though this could help to nail the issue down:
I tried to remove evolution and all it's settings and start with a fresh copy. So i removed ~/.evolution and apps/evolution from gconf. After I logged in again and started evo, the account-setup popped up, just as I expected. But: before I entered any accound info, the trouble making imap-folder appeared in .evolution/mail/imap with username and the imap-server FQDN. All my other Accounts were lost. And the search-folder issue is still present.
How can that be? Where's evo taking the account info from? (Sorry if i missed anything, but I read quite some FAQs and Manuals but couldn't find anything helpful).
