Rhythmbox should have a source to allow playback of digital radios over DVB.

It should list all the radio stations available via DVB (would probably need to be completely hidden if there are zero stations available), as well as the programmes listing for the selected one.

Yes and no, v4l != dvb. Think analog vs. digital, which use different stacks in Linux.

I have a first prototype in my bzr repo under client/rhythmbox-plugin
bzr branch http://www.gnome.org/~sebp/bzr/dvb-daemon/

It currently only works when you have ~/.gstreamer-0.10/dvb-channels.conf and only one group of devices configured with that conf.
