GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 542590
Price and security editor: Features for multiple currencies (collection)
Last modified: 2018-06-29 22:07:21 UTC
- price ed.: clean up for stock prices for EACH day, i.e. removing all but the latest rate for each day in order to use closing rates in reports only; pretty useful when multiple rates were retrieved during one day - price ed.: option window offering target currencies for which FXR should be retrieved; to run reports in currency XYZ, FXRs with target currency XYZ is needed - otherwise funny zeros shows up. - sec. ed.: one-click-change to (un)check a currency (currently a window opens to (un)check)
ad 1: automagics, as often, are dangerous. E. g. they may not remove manually entered prices, which possible relate to some action (buy, sell, ...)
The one-price-per-day is implemented as of 2.6.8. See the docs for how it works.
Gnucash will indeed only fetch one price per day as of 2.6.8. The first request however was about cleaning the history, which will also include price retrievals from before 2.6.8 and hence may still have multiple prices per day. There's a button to remove old quotes, but none for purging all quotes but the last one for each day.
