Description Rolf Leggewie 2008-07-09 17:07:57 UTC
gnucash does not offer any way to search for a particular account. This RFE is more broad than 478470 which talks about searching for an account by account number.
Comment 1 Charles Day 2008-07-15 18:41:06 UTC
Can't you just go to the account tab, click a line, then start typing your search? (However, certain versions of GTK+ are affected by bug 520165.)
Comment 2 Rolf Leggewie 2008-07-15 19:06:26 UTC
I guess you can search for accounts which start with a particular name that way. While that certainly helps, I think we should have a proper search function as well which may even allow search criteria outside the name of the account.
Comment 3 John Ralls 2013-12-14 19:31:00 UTC
You can also filter the list of accounts by account type, hidden-ness, and zero balance with View>Filter By.... There's not much else of interest kept at the account level. Since the bug isn't very specific and the OP isn't around any longer, closing as incomplete.
