Description Dawid Ciężarkiewicz 2008-07-04 10:56:17 UTC
Please describe the problem:
When using screen pressing backspace does not work. Ctrl-? can be used instead.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Run vte.
2. start screen
3. write something and try to use backspace

Actual results:
Backspace does not work. So - nothing.

Expected results:
That it would erase last keys like backspace always do.

Does this happen every time?
Yes.

Other information:
If you look here:
http://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=34718&p=1 (search for "backspace" keyword)

all applications using libvte has this problem. But there is a patch there that helped. I don't know if that one-liner is a hack or proper solution but I hope something similar can be done in vte code so it does work properly with screen too.
