Description David Ronis 2008-06-27 16:58:18 UTC
Version: 2.24.x

It seems that something is broken with saving attachments. I've tried viewing several formats (pdf, pps, jpeg, zip) all of which fail with an error "Error while saving attachment" in the status bar. I can save the file manually, but the resulting file is truncated to exactly 3030 bytes.
All of these seemed to have been base64 encoded. Viewing inline mail/html/jpeg attachements works.

This used to work.

I've also noticed that sometimes opening the attachement window in an incoming mail results in no icons showing. I see some error about not finding an icon for the mime type (see below). What's funny, is that I can return to this message later and the icon is there.
Here's the error message:

(evolution:12450): e-attachment-bar.c-WARNING **: cannot find icon for mime type application/pdf (installation problem?)

Turns out that this is a dup of bug #534080. I've patched e-d-s with the patch given there and the problem is gone.
