GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 539441
number misaligned after switching from binary
Last modified: 2010-04-09 01:35:47 UTC
Please describe the problem: After switching from binary mode (or any other mode) where a scrollbar is visible back to a mode without scrollbar, the number is misaligned - it will only be partially visible. Steps to reproduce: 1. Go into decimal mode 2. Enter a huge number (I used 1035840244000) 3. Switch to binary mode. The number field will now be overflown and a scroll bar will be visible. 4. Switch back to decimal Actual results: Most of the decimal number is not visible anymore. Expected results: The number should be visible completely. Does this happen every time? It happens every time. Other information:
I believe this is a duplicate of bug #524602. It's really a Gtk+ bug, but Robert recently worked around it in the gcalctool tarball for GNOME 2.23.4. Could you try downloading: http://ftp.gnome.org/pub/GNOME/sources/gcalctool/5.23/gcalctool-5.23.4.tar.gz configuring, building and install it, and see if the problem goes away? Thanks.
Is is an issue for me with trunk as of rev 2347.
