Description Rich Burridge 2008-06-10 20:40:45 UTC
This is an idea originally suggested by David Price in bug #537425,
specifically for Thunderbird, but separated out here so that it can
be applied to other applications like gedit and oowriter.

Provide support for a hot-key that would allow the user to repeat
the speaking of the context for a misspelled word.

Planning spam. Sorry!

I'm not real familiar with how spell checkers work with Orca and other gnome apps so far. But this would be an interesting bug to attempt work on. I would probably have to prioritize this lower than some others due to lack of experience and background. But I did see OOo Writer's spell checker in action while just arrowing around on a line reading word by word but I did not see any proposed alternate spellings and I'm sure for bulk spell checking, there has got to be a faster way than moving word by word. So if you're looking for an assignee, I'm willing to give it a go.

This was implemented a while back. In scripts that use Orca's spellcheck support, whereAmI will repeat the error and context.
