Description Joe Zeff 2008-05-25 01:44:31 UTC
Please describe the problem:
I have a perl program that generates random signatures, and use it for Usenet posts through Pan. Every time I try to post, the composition window comes up with two copies of the signature, with different quotes. If I run the program from a command line, I get one, and only one signature.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Install and configure .sigmonster.pl
2. Edit your posting profile to call it for your .sig
3. Either start a new post or a reply to an existing one.

Actual results:
I get two copies of my signature with different quotes and several blank lines between them.

Expected results:
I should get one and only one signature.

Does this happen every time?
Yes.

Other information:
The perl script can be found at http://www.rfbooth.com/tech/sigmonster/ if you need it to look at.
