Description Hugo Gabignon 2008-05-18 08:32:49 UTC
Empathy should support IRC commands such as /nick, /color etc...
Comment 1 Maxime Chéramy 2008-06-08 10:10:45 UTC
+1.

/nick and /join are the most important. For me, gajim is a good example of implementation.
Comment 2 Travis Reitter 2008-06-23 16:19:25 UTC
Agreed - /nick and /join (with password support) would be very useful.
Comment 3 Russ Brown 2008-12-04 22:15:52 UTC
/topic would also be very useful.
Comment 4 James.Cummings 2009-02-27 14:58:23 UTC
It should be made to support all the standard IRC commands, with /help as pidgin does.

/join with password support is necessary for me.

(Also allow joining '#roomName password' from the menu... it just does nothing if it has a second token.)

Comment 6 Praveen Thirukonda 2009-03-21 11:55:19 UTC
These things really need to be fixed fast so that feature parity is achieved with pidgin and then distros can replace pidgin with empathy.

and this one is really easy to implement imho.
