GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 533146
Smart playlist entries should support auto-complete
Last modified: 2020-03-17 08:25:48 UTC
0. Have some Pearl Jam in your library (for example) 1. Create new smart playlist 2. Choose "Artist - is - " 3. Type "pe" Actual results: Nothing happens, please keep typing. Expected results: Banshee offers to auto-complete with "Pearl Jam", "A Perfect Circle", "Pete Yorn", etc. This is a great feature in iTunes when I make playlists to include/exclude specific artists so that I can trim down our library to fit on our iPod for car trips. Makes it go a *lot* faster.
Confirming, this would be great.
This shouldn't be too hard to implement since autocomplete for artists and other things already works in the track editor, right? And I agree that it would definitely be handy.
Bulk changing the assignee to banshee-maint@gnome.bugs to make it easier for people to get updated on all banshee bugs by following that address. It's usually quite apparent who is working on a given bug by the comments and/or patches attached.
Banshee is not under active development anymore and had its last code changes more than three years ago. Its codebase has been archived. Closing this report as WONTFIX as part of Bugzilla Housekeeping to reflect reality. Please feel free to reopen this ticket (or rather transfer the project to GNOME Gitlab, as GNOME Bugzilla is being shut down) if anyone takes the responsibility for active development again.
