"When testing out the lyrics plug-in for the first time I listened to a Last.fm radio channel and the plug-in didn't seem to work at all. Then, while a rather popular song was playing, I searched manually for the lyrics at http://lyricwiki.org/ site. The lyrics were there. I selected the same track from my music collection and the lyrics were retrieved successfully. So the bug seems to be an interoperability problem between the two plug-ins.

The Last.fm plug-in has similar problems with cover art plug-in as well."

thanks,

The new last.fm playback scheme will not have this problem.

I've just committed the new last.fm streaming system changes, so this is fixed.
