Totem's window title bar should show the time remaining (or time played) and total time of the current track.  This is useful when checking on a track playing in an obscured window, and when searching for a window in the window switcher.

You should be able to do that easily with a little Python plugin. Not a core Totem feature though, added to the wishlist:
