GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 531976
Bigboard doesn't submit new applications to mugshot server
Last modified: 2012-02-25 17:49:58 UTC
Moved from: http://bugzilla.mugshot.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1275 Reporter: Alan Cramer Opened: 2007-07-30 22:41 I have some applications on my system and have been there for a fair while. Bigboard (I assume that is the component responsible) hasn't sent any application to the mugshot application database. There is no other way server side to add a new application, and the existing ones on http://mugshot.org/applications/ have now been Gentooified, so they appear in their proper categories on a Gentoo system. The couple of apps I want added to the database haven't dispite regular usage of those apps. This inaccurately displays a list of my so called "Favourite or Most used apps" and for your statistic purposes, it doesn't give you an accurate representation either. You could claim that "Mugshot users prefer to use Gaim" which wouldn't be true, as many more users may have moved onto Pidgin instead. ------- Comment #1 From Colin Walters 2007-08-09 15:49 [reply] ------- Yeah, we definitely need to figure out the process for adding more applications.

"Bigboard" will not see active development anymore according to one of its developers (Colin). Closing this report as WONTFIX - Please feel free to reopen this bug report in the future if anyone takes the responsibility for active development again. [I've also closed this product for new entries and moved it to the "Deprecated" classification. I've also filed a Git archiving request against sysadmin.]
