Please describe the problem:
Whilst using screenlets sidebar ( http://screenlets.org/index.php/Sidebar ), there is a setting to stop applications from maximising over the top of it.  When I enable this, applications are still maximised over the top.

This is using metacity and when metacity w/ compositing is turned on.

This setting works properly when I use compiz.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Install screenlets and load sidebar
2. Maximise any application
3. See that the application covers the sidebar


Actual results:
Application covers side bar

Expected results:
Application maximises and does not cover the side bar.

I believe this is a duplicate of bug 572573 which was just closed.
