Description Bastien Nocera 2008-04-29 23:33:29 UTC
We should have the ability to access remote folders using the "Scan a folder" option instead.
Comment 1 Paolo Borelli 2008-04-30 10:17:10 UTC
I agree that the normal filechooser should also allow to access remote folders, however I am not sure that the ad-hoc dialog should be removed: reaching a remote folder from the filechooser is far from intutive if the remote share has not been mounted yet and it's not available in the filechooser sidepane.
Comment 2 Roumano 2008-07-09 07:57:42 UTC
I also not sure that the ad-hoc dialog should be removed
Comment 3 nodiscc 2012-12-05 02:10:50 UTC
Closing this as WONTFIX since the "Scan Remote folder" has many uses the filechooser does not have (scanning a folder without mounting it, support for private SSH keys, custom port...)
