Description Mark 2008-04-27 22:06:34 UTC
Hey,

A few weeks ago when Gnome 2.22 wasn't even released yet i already noticed that the developer version of gnome 2.21.x that was in Fedora rawhide was missing the shutdown sound while it is set and is working when the play button is pressed.
Right now it's still not working in Fedora Rawhide with gnome 2.22.

I now also installed Ubuntu 8.04 (not to test the sound) and noticed at the first shutdown that there was no logout/shutdown sound while all other sound events work fine (gdm and login). So this is a bug in the gnome-session part.

The sounds are set in both Fedora and Ubuntu but they just don't play.
In other gnome versions the logout sound always played partly but now it seems like it doesn't even start.

Is the shutdown sound not playing for a specific reason or is this just a bug? either way it's not working.

A fix for this in a 2.22.x update would be very nice.

Thanx,
Mark
